About business pattern automation

At Ironwood we believe that legacy applications on the market today perpetuate the challenge of disparate systems stuck in the Human Role Bias paradigm, needing special integration mechanisms and additional effort to consolidate data into a central repository for enterprise wide data driven decision making.

Human Role Bias is a fundamental constraint baked into the majority of enterprise and line of business solutions on the market today. Human role biased business processes originated in the 1970’s with the birth of ERP as we see it today. Over the years SOX, King, segregation of duties etc. have bloated human role based processed and the resultant overhead that consumes revenue and diminishes business agility.

Business Pattern Automation speaks to pure rules and outcomes based automation in contrast to, for example, a RPA Bot in an ERP or Line of Business environment which records and plays back human key strokes and executes these key strokes as if it was a human. There is nothing revolutionary about this. It is not called the Fourth Industrial Revolution because it sounds catchy. It is a business imperative to ensure sustainability and competitiveness.

Ironwood is designed as a framework in which various autonomous agents or Bots are orchestrated to act as a swarm in achieving desired outcomes.
